How do I Get Safari Cargo?
Download the app from the PlayStore. Create your profile. Select password. DONE. We keep it Simple.
Is it Free?
Yes. Signing up is completely free for you as the cargo owner. However, do ensure to post available cargo as often as possible to maintain a highly rated account.
Is it Safe?
The app is safe. However, at all times observe care when dealing with the transporter. Always reduce risks as below:-
- Get a copy of the truck log book and the ID of the owner. If details do not match, don't load. If truck is registered to a company , ask for company ownership documents e.g. in Kenya, the CR12.
- Get the driver's ID, contact number and a picture of the truck before loading.
- Get copies of the below truck documents Log book, Yellow Card and Transit Goods License. Ensure truck details match.
- Make payments to a bank account OR mobile money. Avoid cash payments. If you must make a cash payment, make it on delivery, not on loading. Alternatively, provide fuel and driver mileage and not cash.
- DO NOT deal with a broker for the main transaction. In case you find that cargo was posted by a broker, pay the broker a reasonable commission but deal directly with the truck owner.
Lastly, and most important … If in any doubt, simply do not load your cargo on the truck. Get back on the app and secure another one.
